Simple Steps for Cleaning Laminate

Ah, spring. Time to open the windows and give the kitchen a clean sweep. We are often asked the best way to clean laminate countertops and luckily for homeowners, it just takes a few simple supplies:
1. Use a nylon bristled hand or vegetable brush, along with a mild liquid detergent-and-water solution or household cleaner
2. Clean the soiled area using a rotating motion
3. Blot with a clean, damp, non-abrasive cotton cloth
4. Rinse and dry the surface
When it comes to cleaning laminate countertops, less is more. Abrasive cleaners, powders, scouring pads, steel wool, sandpaper, etc. can damage the surface finish and make it susceptible to staining.
