Large-Scale Patterns for Big Design Impact

It seemed the philosophy was “go big or go home” at this year’s NeoCon and Hospitality Design Expo (HD Expo). The latest textile and wall covering patterns spanned from wall to wall and floor to ceiling – a neck stretching experience! We, too, share a love for large-scale (180fx®, anyone?) and couldn’t help but capture a few examples while at the shows:
Large-scale neutral floor covering patterns added visual interest without overpowering …
… while large-scale bright patterns energized.
Much of the large-scale textile patterns reflected the gradation trend …
… and others had a bit of rock-and-roll attitude.
We also loved how large-scale wall covering patterns used texture and dimension to add appeal to otherwise undecorated spaces.
Like large-scale patterns but looking for other options? Consider 180fx® by Formica Group, which features large-as-life marble, stone and granite patterns that span a realistic five feet — an easy way to add drama to vertical surfaces. In particular, 180fx® Petrified Wood is stunning when used to cover an accent wall, as seen below.

Since large-scale is such an “in” trend, what patterns do you think we should consider for the next 180fx® Collection expansion?
